Privacy Policy

Samurank is a done-for-you SEO product and client dashboard operated by SLIQ By Design(“SLIQ By Design,” “Samurank,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use Samurank’s website, onboarding flow, and client dashboard (together, the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us

Your business name, website address, industry, and contact details during onboarding; account and billing information; and anything you send our support team.

Information from your Google account

When you click “Continue with Google” during onboarding, you grant Samurank read-only access to:

  • Google Search Console — search queries, clicks, impressions, average position, and indexing status for the property you connect.
  • Google Analytics 4 — traffic, sessions, and conversion data for the property you connect.

We request only the minimum read-only scopes needed to build your dashboard (webmasters.readonly and analytics.readonly). We cannot change your Search Console or Analytics settings, and we never request write access.

Information collected automatically

Standard web analytics on our own marketing site (pages viewed, referring site, device type) and cookies that keep you signed in to your dashboard.

2. How We Use Information

  • To build and update your Samurank dashboard — rankings, traffic, and growth reporting.
  • To publish the SEO content we produce for your site and measure how it performs.
  • To respond to support requests and send service-related communications.
  • To improve Samurank itself, using aggregated, de-identified usage patterns only.

We do not use your Google data for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or share it with third parties — except the infrastructure providers strictly necessary to operate the Service, described below.

3. Google API Services User Data Policy

Samurank’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Where Your Data Is Stored & How It’s Protected

  • Your Google access and refresh tokens are encrypted with Google Cloud KMS before they’re stored, and are never held or transmitted in plain text.
  • Application data is stored with Supabase, a SOC 2–compliant infrastructure provider.
  • Access is limited to SLIQ By Design personnel who need it to deliver the Service.

5. How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain your connected Google data for as long as your Samurank account is active, so your dashboard can show historical trends. If you disconnect Google or cancel your account, we stop pulling new data immediately. You can request deletion of previously synced data at any time — see “Contact Us” below.

6. Your Choices & Rights

  • Revoke Samurank’s access anytime at myaccount.google.com/permissions, or by disconnecting inside Samurank’s Settings.
  • Request a copy or deletion of your personal data by emailing us.
  • California and EU/UK residents have additional rights under the CCPA and GDPR (access, correction, deletion, portability) — contact us to exercise them.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your session. We don’t use third-party advertising or tracking cookies on the dashboard.

8. Children’s Privacy

Samurank is a business-to-business service and isn’t directed at children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We’ll update the effective date above, and for changes that materially affect how we use your Google data, we’ll notify connected clients by email.
